I don't like war, but it's still interesting to learn about. And important too. If you know what didn't work in the past that caused war in the first place, maybe you can avoid it in the future.

[ Though the latest war in her world had to do with self-aware robots building other self-aware robots to take over so... not exactly something they could have looked to the past to avoid. ]

There's not been much avoiding it so far, I don't think. But there's always a lot to learn about it, either way. Victors. Peace-makers. Survivors.

But you're right. War's difficult to avoid but in a way it's a force within our control. Climate, though, doesn't answer to diplomacy or threats of mutually assured destruction.

That's true! I just can't seem to get climate to listen to me! :P

But someday we'll come up with a way to keep it from changing too radically. The world is worth fighting for, after all!

Does it look like it's feasible? Slowing the radical change?

It's fine. I can't even get my C.O. to listen to me sometimes. I can't imagine the weather being any more responsive.

Feasible, yes. But the cause is still a mystery. I won't know what steps to take until I lock that down.
