I don't like war, but it's still interesting to learn about. And important too. If you know what didn't work in the past that caused war in the first place, maybe you can avoid it in the future.

There's not been much avoiding it so far, I don't think. But there's always a lot to learn about it, either way. Victors. Peace-makers. Survivors.
But you're right. War's difficult to avoid but in a way it's a force within our control. Climate, though, doesn't answer to diplomacy or threats of mutually assured destruction.
